Dr. Macgregor is an independent defense and foreign policy consultant with the firm, Glenside Analysis, Inc., based in Ashburn, Virginia. He is also a retired Colonel who left the Army on 1 June 2004 after 28 years of service, most of which was spent in armor, mechanized infantry and armored cavalry formations but am a graduate of Ranger and Airborne schools.
In addition to writing several books on military affairs, Dr. Macgregor frequently appear on the News Hour with Jim Lehrer, CNN, NBC and Fox News as an analyst of on-going military operations in Iraq and military transformation. Sometimes he speaks in person to public and private groups on leadership, technology and inspirational topics.
